Meet The Doula.

Hi, I’m Kailynn—a mom of two under two, military spouse, and the heart behind Held Birth Co.

My passion for birth work comes from a deep belief that every person deserves to feel supported, informed, and cared for throughout their perinatal journey. I became a doula after the birth of my son in August 2025. Having a doula by my side during his birth showed me just how transformative it can be to have a steady, compassionate presence during one of life's most significant transitions.

What draws me to this work is the opportunity to walk alongside families during a season that is both beautiful and vulnerable. It is a privilege to support clients as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in a way that feels authentic to them.

My approach is rooted in compassionate care and respect for each family's unique journey. My role is not to direct your decisions, but to provide evidence-based information, emotional support, practical guidance, and a calm presence so you can make choices with confidence and feel supported every step of the way.

While my personal values are shaped by my Christian faith, I welcome and support families of all backgrounds and beliefs. My goal is always to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and fully supported, regardless of your beliefs, background, or birth preferences.

I began my certification process in February 2026 and am currently completing certification through Birth Arts International as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Breastfeeding Educator. I anticipate being fully certified by the end of 2026.

While completing my training, I have already had the privilege of supporting three families through their perinatal journeys, gaining valuable hands-on experience and deepening my passion for this work.

My training and experience continue to shape my approach to care, combining evidence-based knowledge with empathy, encouragement, and a commitment to meeting each family where they are.

Founding Client Rates

Families who book with me before I complete my certification are eligible for reduced rates. This allows me to continue building experience while providing accessible, high-quality support to growing families. It's my way of making doula care more accessible while I complete the final steps of my certification journey.
